About 3 weeks ago, all of a sudden PS would crash whenever I try and open a file. Doesn’t seem to matter what type of file, I’ve tried JPEGs, TIFFs etc. All crash. Even if I create a new file in PS, save it, and try and reload it, crash city. I’m using Leopard 10.5.6 and PS CS3 v10.0.1. Only thing that has changed is I’m now using an Epson 3800, which works fine with Lightroom.

Any thoughts? I’m in the process of reinstalling everything, for the 3rd time. Don’t hold much hope.

I would remove the 3800 driver and see what happens.

William,

By "load" and "reload" do you just mean opening the file? Are you using the correct Epson driver for your system? Did you repair permissions, repair disk, run Disk Warrior, check for damaged or corrupt fonts, clear your caches, reset Photoshop preferences, or try to log in as a new user?
