How do I batch convert a directory of TIFF files to PNG?

You can create an action to convert the files then run it in a batch.

I've tried doing that, but I can't figure out how to add a save action.
I've tried recording an action and then saving a file, but when I re-use that action it just saves to the same exact filename as when I recorded the action.
How do I get a save action to prompt for a filename or automatically figure out a new filename?
