I am running photoshop CS3 Extended on a system with 3 screens with a total screen resolution of 4800x1200. Whenever Photoshop's main window size exceeds roughly 4000 pixels, Photoshop crashes (Photoshop.exe needs to close...)
I discovered this problem while using CS2 and created a post about it then, but I can't locate it now. The bug seems to have come over to CS3 as well. Photoshop 7 works fine at window sizes beyond 4000 pixels.
I contacted tech support, a guy named Greg who was very responsive and helpful, and he sent me a readme file for CS3 that mentions a limit of 4096x4096. It turns out that this is referring to texture maps in 3d not window size, so as far as I know, this issue is still undocumented.
With most modern high end PCs being capable of displaying resolutions this high, this issue is going to get noticed by more people soon.
AfterEffects 7 also has this issue.
