CS3 - Can't open animated gifs

Hello there,
Since Image Ready is gone I'm asking myself: "How can I open animated gif's and also edit them?"

I've got the Designer Suite 3, but it seems like, that no program is able to open a full animated gif (opens just only one picture)!!

Now what can I do?
