I recently upgraded to a Viewsonic VG191 flat panel to go with my Samsung SyncMaster 955df (CRT) using a Radeon 9000 card (moved the former, happy CRT that was in the setup to another computer). Alluvasudden, the Samsung displays everything as pink (only in Photoshop). The Viewsonic flat panel is fine.

I have the newest Samsung XP driver (the Radeon ATI stuff, too); lowering color number doesn’t help. When I go through the Gamma wizard, I think it’s talking to the Viewsonic, not to the Samsung. I can’t seem to find help when I search the FAQs under "color management and dual head cards" and could use a place to go look. I tried the FAQ suggestion, but …

Running Gamma is confusing enough; but I think it’s *not* talking to my Samsung (monitor #2 in my setup – the Viewsonic keeps changing when I change the Gamma settings). Does anyone have *any* suggestions as to how to make it talk to the Samsung? I’d like to be able to use either monitor for Photoshop.

System: WinXP Pro; all updates & drivers are new; SP1 installed; nice box (I built it) with loads of RAM and hard drive. Radeon 9000 card; new ATI drivers; programs on one HD and all data on another (in RAID with yet another). This is a production machine.

I think I need someone geekier than I am (tough thing to admit when you’re the geek folks usually go to for problems).

I’m just a happy Photoshop user who hasn’t taken classes (but reads). Talk slowly, please.

Email cc’s are welcome.

Thanks,

S.
