Hello, I have never used a photo editing program before and was wondering if someone could recommend one for a beginner. I was staggered by the number of different programs there are out there. I would like to be able to enhance or touch up old family photos I have scanned. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

PS Elements is probably the best way to start. Reasonably priced and full of features.

While the concepts of image editing are similar among various applications, another beauty in using Photoshop Elements is the easier transition path to Photoshop, should you decide in the future that there are features in Photoshop you want to make use of and you choose to buy it.
