clone tool - can I make it "square"

I used to use Corel Photopaint, in which you could select either a round or square clone tool - great for corners. Can't figure out how to make PS' clone tool square... I'm assuming that I have to import/load a new tool of some sort, but from where? I've found the "Tool Preset Picker" in the toolbar for which the on-line help is somewhat less than helpful...

Thanks,
Dominique

The clone tool works with whatever brush you have selected. If you want a square shape you need only select a square shaped brush.

Someone beat me to it! :p

Ok, at the risk of seeming completely ignorant, here goes... I see several different brush presets and tip shapes in the Brush Pallet, but absolutely nothing with 90 degree corners. Should I be customizing an existing brush to get this effect?

You don't say what version of PS you're using. In version 7 they started with a new brush engine and design. So... what version?

In either version though, there are some preset brushes that ship with PS. When you go to your brushes pallet, there's a little triangle in the upper right hand corner. Click that, and you will see some presets at the bottom, as well as the ability to load/save brushes. One of those sets of Presets is called Square Brushes. Load them and you're in business.

Peace,

Sorry, I am indeed using version 7. The little triangle was the key Tony!! Found the Square Brushes, (and many other that might someday be useful!) and everything is working beautifully. Thanks a million!
