When I want to un-install PhotoshopElements 2.0 the following message appears: ‘The log file ‘C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2\ Uninst.isu’ is not valid or the data has been corrupted.Uninstall will not continue.’

Installation gets hung right at the end while ‘Installing language- dependent files. Please wait…’ You could easily catch up with ‘Voyager 1’ while-u-wait…

Desperately I tried to run PSE 2.0 and got the following encouraging message:
‘A required. DLL file, UID.MR.DLL, was not found.’

Any ideas anybody ?
Thanx, Anton

Two things…

a) Try to reinstall, this will overwrite everything… After that, you’ll be able to run the uninstaller (I think).

b) a DLL named uid.mr.dll is a very, very strange name for a DLL in a Windows environment… Do you have an anti-virus..? If so, is it up to date? If so, run a complete system scan, just in case…
