Powerpoint resolution 2

Still working on getting better images from "print screen" snatches for a ppt presentation which is all images.

1. The image is cut from the total screen page in PS and put in a new page. What should the resolution be? I don't know what the resoluton of the projector is and if I did I don't know what to do with it. Normal res in PS seems to be 72 which I know now is too low. PPT suggests a 5"x4" finished size when extended fills the screen, which I've done with all images.

2. I've used 130/bicubic for a trial resolution and the pixelation seems much less. Is this enough? Some blending is still needed at 300-400% enlargement but not as much as before.

Am I on the right track? I have 100 images to fix quickly.....

When doing screen captures, the trick is to get as many original pixels as possible, so that you have the minimal amount of scaling to do ... that is where you lose the quality.

If you can set your monitor to a huge resolution, and the screen display to "big fonts" you will be able to capture the screen images with many more pixels to work from.

Thanks Don, I've learned how bad scaling can be.

I've just done a few experiments with psd's making the resolutions 130, 150 and 160 when I drag the image over. The reduction is scaling is much better, even tho there still has to be some pixel mop ups to do.

My monitor display is set at 1024X1068. Are you saying to up that much higher before doing PrintScreen? That's a great idea! Thanks so much!
