I have an old version of Paint Shop Pro (Version 5). How would it compare with Photoshop Elements if I got the latest version of PSP? What advantages or limitations does Elements have? Would Microsoft Digital Image Suite compare at all?

Microsoft never has been ... and probably never will be ... a factor in the real-world graphics software field. They simply do **NOT** understand things like graphics, images, vector drawing, color management, typography, fonts, page layout ... and so forth.
