Is there a really good book on PS2 or Photoshop 7 which simply takes you through all the tricks Adobe can do to improve your images with the examples on CD so that you can work through them?

All the trick would certainly require a very, very large book. There are many good books out there and a good place to start searching for what is out there is Bob Warren’s book page. Bob is a regular in this forum and he has compile a great list with small reviews of most of the best books for PE2.

One book not on Bob’s list that I highly recommend is Michael Kieran’s Photoshop Color Correction.
