When trying to use the Edit > Copy command in Photoshop Elements 2.0, I get the following message when trying to paste the image into other Windows XP applications such as Adobe Illustrator CS or MS Word 2003:

"Adobe Photoshop Elements Clip Image is too big to be exported"

The image I am trying to copy is a relatively small (495K) JPEG file. Now I know that there are other ways to get the file into these applications but shouldn’t I be able to do it using the Edit > Copy and Edit > Paste commands? Is there some setting I need to change to get this to work?

Thanks.

David, I recall having a similar problem trying to paste an image into Word 2000. Word may not understand what the file is – it apparently thinks it’s Clipart, which are generally very small files. I found the surefire way for Word was to save the image as a JPEG, then within Word, do an Insert>Picture>From File.

Try the drag and drop method, that usually works for me. Ben
