Okay, so I updated my RAID Controller drivers today (no hardware change, just a driver update), and now have the dreaded:
"The license configuration data for Adobe Photoshop is no longer usable. Click OK to continue"
which takes me to the activation screen. Trying to activate, I get the "exceeded allowable activations", and a prompt to call a number. Probably because I had doen a format and re-install just recently (six weeks ago).
Before I go through the hoops, was there another way to solve this, of am I mis-remembering?

Ether call or do an image restore to the previous version. Transfer activation via help menu. Image restore to new version and activate. I use Acronis backup for this and have done it a number of times when this happens to me.
