Photoshop CS2 in Vista home registration window opens every time

Hi,

I have just upgraded my PC. I de-activated on my old MB then installed CS2 photoshop on the new machine runing vista. I activated and filled in the registration window without any problems.

Every time I open photoshop the window opens asking for registration. I have clicked on do not register and filled in the form a few times yet it keeps opening every time.

I have administrator access on Vista and I have updated Photoshop to the latest version.

Has anyone got a solution to this annoying problem?

Many thanks

It's been discussed a few times. You can search the forum but IIRC by doing the registration with UAC turned off you won't get bothered again.

Many thanks, I didn't even know what UAC was!

I did try searching but my search terms never got any hits.

Thank you for your efforts.

Wow nice, I thought Photoshop CS2 is not compatible with Vista. Now I know it was :)

None of the CS2 applications are officially supported under Vista. This is just a known issue that can be worked around. CS3 will be the first version of the suite to be officially supported under Vista.

Right click on the Photoshop exe file to get to "properties". Under the "compatibility" tab, click "run as administrator". You only have to do this once. I'm writing this from memory; the answer came from Adobe's web site. It works.
