I seem to have a random problem when saving .psd files as .jpg. The file doesn’t actually save as a .jpg, and when I close my original and try to open it again, I get the error message that the file cannot be opened because it is not a valid photoshop document. The file still has the .psd extension. However, when I look at the file info, it says that the file format is jpeg.
I am using WinXP and Photoshop CS.
Any ideas why this is happening, and, more important at the moment, how to fix a file that has this problem?
