I am new at this and still in the transition stage between using Paint Shop Pro 7 to Photoshop 7; I have studied the Manual and Help and still cannot for the life of me figure out how to import my Paint Shop Pro files (.psp) into the Photoshop 7 program. I know it must be something simple that I am overlooking, but I am a dummy. Can someone help me please?

Maybe try saving as Photoshop's PSD from within Paint Shop Pro ?..

Your title says "PNG", but the body of your post says "PSP". Different animals.
Photoshop does not import PSP files at all, period.
You can save as a photoshop file in PSP, and in most cases it will preserve the layers, but some features within PaintShop Pro are not supported (like text on a path) in Photoshop so those layers will be rasterized upon conversion to Photoshop (PSD).

Thanks guys. Sorry to hear that Photoshop doesn't import PSP files, booo! I would have thought someone would have made a plugin (I think that is what they are called) to do that by now.
Most of the stuff I do is in .png format, and I was in a hurry so I got the description of everything kinda jumbled, even referring to Paint Shop Pro 7 as Print Shop Pro 7 (methadummy), so I was mixing oranges an apples...I should have proof-read my post, sorry.
Update: I tried your suggestions and saved a copy of one of my .psp files as a .psd file in Paint Shop Pro and it worked like a charm in Photoshop. That will save me a lot of work.
Thanks again guys/gals, I owe you a beer or two if you make it to Texas.

Billy,
This is a great place for a PaintShop Pro convert. I used to use PaintShop Pro exclusively and in a year and a half of visiting this forum (plus 12-18 hours a day using photoshop) I've learned so much.
Come back and ask away, it's a good, professional forum, and the folks here are tops.
Peace,
Tony
