Karouna & Jane,
I addressed this question in the forum topic "Shape, Work Path, Mask". <
http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?13@@.3bb475a2/41> Here it is again:
1. Go to the Custom Shape picker pull-down menu. This brings up a set of default shapes. Then click the right arrow to select the "shapes" set which contains the hexagon.
2. Draw hexagon on picture, creating new layer. Don't worry about the exact location of the hexagon at this time.
3. Move hexagon layer below picture layer (if picture layer is the Background layer, you will have to rename it first).
4. Select picture layer and group it with hexagon layer (CTRL-G).
5. Use Move tool to position hexagon where you want it (either layer
can be active for this).
6. CTRL-Click hexagon layer to select outlined picture for copying & pasting or whatever.
