Acquastion Module Interface

When trying to scan this morning this error popped up: Could not complete the Import Command because of a problem with the "Acquistion Module Interface".

When I moved to a different computer the scanning software worked fine.

Can anyone tell me what I should do to correct this problem?

Post some specs, please, such as the platform and operating system, what version of Elements you're using, and the kind of scanner you have.

I am using windows XP Professional and the UMAX 4400 scanner with USB.
