Hi Welles thanks for coming back again I could almost kiss ya!, those sharpes were almost definatley done with the warp tool as you have suggested! Makes it so much more easier to create smooth angles shapes. I didn't even think about warp.

Now I'm just trying to workout how to add a few more drag/handles to the custom warp and I'm set.

Use the marquee tool and perform multiple warps.

Hi J, okay when I do a warp I have 4 handles (2 at the top & 2 at the bottom) at the 1/3 & 2/3 points as well as 2 handles on each of the sides.

If I do a warp, apply it then come back to do another warp I get a fresh set of handles which isnt very useful???

Am I missing something about doing something with the marquee?

Do 1/3 of the page, then middle third, then third third. In effect you get more adjustment point along the line you're warping. Or adjust the image overall, and then break the already-warped-once line into thirds.

I'm not saying it's the holy grail, just that it might help you achieve the effect you linked in PS.

What you really need is an updated Illy. Get the suite and lose Quark. ;) :D

G'day J yes definatley need the updated illustrator, still saving for the new suite.

Good idea with doing just a 3rd at a time, I've just ended up with the semi swirl at present, <http://www.tfdesign.com.au/swirl_lines.jpg>

I've still got some more work to do to get the swirl balance right.

Will try few with your suggestion to see how they come out.

Thanks again
