I currently have Adobe CS3 programs on my computer. I’m getting ready to get the CS4 versions. Since the previous one’s are already on my computer and I run the installer for CS4 will it just update the registry for CS3 or will it completely install CS4 and all the components?

Should i remove the whole CS3 before installing CS4 please

Why even assume this is a Windows issue? Software needs to register itself to the system in some way regardless of platform.

Jim,

Because there is no Registry with Macs. Macs have separate Preferences and internal application settings to interface with the computer.

And just about the only folks who even mention "Registry" are Windows users.
