Hello all,
I had to scan pictures in a hurry of my fiancee's brother who sadly passed away recently. As I was not at home the only scanner available was a very cheap and nasty one. The pictures I had to scan were being buried with him in the coffin. Everything was rushed and I didn't check the scanned images properly. It was only after the coffin was closed I noticed all the images have horrible horizontal lines on them, as if printed on a poor quality inkjet printer. The lines appear across the image and darken the image at regular intervals. Image data is not lost its just brighter, as if a highlighter was drawn across the picture every so often. I could clone it out but it would take too long. I have tried several of the techniques I know with Photoshop CS2 but can't achieve satisfactory results. The images were scanned at 300 DPI. Obviously the original pictures are gone so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Chris.
