Marquee tool selects only square/circle not rectangle or ellipse

Using Elements version 2.0.2 under Mac OS X 10.3.3, the Marquee tool selects only circles or squares, no ellipses or rectangles. This *was* working. I've tried rebooting. My OS patches are up-to-date.

What can I do?

Look in the option bar, where it says Style, make sure it says Normal (it probably is Fixed Aspect Ratio right now)

Actually Dennis I find that with all the marquee tools..... I'll be watching this thread for any advise....
