I loaded CS2-Education version on my computer with previous version PS7.0. Every time I start CS2 i get a message to the effect that Auto Update failed to start. Should I remove my previous PS7 and try installing again? Is this a known issue? How do I get it to stop?

Disabled auto update, and then it should go away, you may want to open adobe bridge, and let it check for updates, and see if your problem goes away.

I found a thread about this problem at www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/331634.html and ran the cacls and gave the needed permissions, but when I tried to run the common files installer, I came to a window where files were being copied, and a new window popped up asking me to install the disk#1. Well, the disk was already in the drive and clicking OK did nothing! I only had the option to cancel. How do I disable auto update? I should have mentioned this is PS CS2.
