I am trying to print a large panorama via Elements 2.0 on Windows XP.

It is 55 inches wide by 13 inches high @ 300dpi.

I am trying to print on an Epson Stylus Photo 2000P with roll paper (13" wide).

I have set up the paper as per the manual (banner mode,
roll-paper-no-margin) using a custom page size (13×55).

If I try print preview then I get a program error.

If I ignore that and just use the print preview in the Epson driver then
it shows me that it will only print the rightmost 2 inches. And indeed that is exactly what it does!

Is there someway to

(a) get Elements to do a preview of such a big image?
(My computer has 768MB RAM)

(b) get it to at least print the whole image?

Thanks!

D’oh!

So after sniggering at another user who was trying to print an image that was too large for their printer I finally realized that that was my problem too!

The Epson 2000P only accepts panoramas up to 44 inches. As soon as I reduced the image to 44" it printed just fine.

Oh well, hopefully it will save someone else the embarassment…
