Hi,

Basically I have a quark document and it has a gradient which is Pantone process blue C, its shade is 50 and opacity 70 fading to nothing.

I have to create this very same gradient in Photoshop…I know how I can select the correct pantone and I know I can change the opacity but what about the shade? how can I match this up? without doing this its going to be the complete wrong colour.

Thanks for reading.

Export a EPS out of Quark and open that in Photoshop. Use it as a FPO. Remake the blend by looking at the FPO values.

Use a layer to create the gradient, you will be able to give the layer an opacity setting of 70%.
