Photoshop CS2 error : 1271

I'm running a batch image process from bridge, through Photoshop CS2. It starts ok but after a while it stops and gives me the dialogue box "Sorry! Something major happened and i could not continue. Would you like more info?" of course i say yes, it then comes up with the very helpful response "Error: No such element : 1271"
Does anybody know what this means? and how to solve the problem?
