importing word documents as a text layer

I’m using Photoshop 7, Windows XP. Is there any way to drag/import word documents and convert to a text layer? I thought I’d been able to do this previously but can’t remember how it happened.

Copy from Word, use Text tool in Photoshop, Paste.
