Wood Burning Text Effect

I have a client who wants his name to look like word burnt etching. Look here <http://www.instructables.com/id/Intro-to-Wood-Burning/> for an example. I was hoping there would be a font but just in case I'm wondering if anyone can advise of a down and dirty way to do this. Thanks.

Also there's this thumbnail < http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/atomic-cupcake-burnt-wood-ph otoshop-tool> of a filter which obviously involves just an dark inner glow. It's really the wood grain that makes the effect, in my mind.
