Hey there,

I have been searching everywhere for a particular style of filter with absolutely no luck.

While re-taining the sharpness of a photograph, I would like to add a glow/glaze/blur effect to the image.

I have seen this used before on property photography…. eg

<http://www.mcgrath.com.au/>

They still retain the detail of the building material, however the photograph has a nice glazed look to it.

Any ideas on how to create this look or where i could find the answer???

I think you mean Soft Focus. Try this: duplicate the BG layer, Gaussian blur the duplicate then change the opacity. (blur amount and opacity to taste)

Another way to get this sort of effect is described in the link at the bottom of my picture. You can control the degree of "glow" and softness of focus quite easily. It is referred to as the "Orton technique" by the person who posted a description of it.
