Help! I am installing Photoshop 7.0 and as installation just gets started, an error message -115 pops up with something about a move error. Please let me know what's happening or how I can get this to install!

Hi Jenny,
If I'm remembering correctly, while not knowing the cause of that problem, I believe the solution was usually one of copying all installation files from the CD to your hard drive, and then run the installation from the hard drive copy. If that doesn't work, you might also try booting into safe mode and try installing from that state.

I'm having similar issues with Photoshop 6.0 - was working fine until recently but had continuous error problems so uninstalled thinking simply needed to re-install from CD. No! Keep getting error 115.
I've tried using safe mode to no avail. Can you advise how I can copy files from CD to my hard drive when it blanks out at 59% ?
Sorry if this is a dumb question. (Newbie!)
Cheers, Teri

Sounds like you have either a problem with the CD or the CD-ROM drive

Thanks Len - I'll have to test another CD I guess and see if there continues to be a problem.

I would sort this out quickly. If it turns out to be a bad CD, Adobe can't replace older versions, and they will want you to upgrade. Right now you will be able to upgrade to CS2.3 for the same price as a person with CS1. But once CS3 is announced, Adobe has said that they will charge a larger price to upgrade more than three versions back.
