We have an issue sending Photoshop 9.0.2 files to our Creo (version 4.1). Files error out in the process queue stating "General Postscript Error". However, printing the same files from an earlier version of Photoshop such as 8.0 (CS1) is successful. Printing is also successful from all other CS2 applications, so it is a Photoshop 9.0.2 issue. Any input regarding this specific issue would be helpful. Thank you.

"so it is a Photoshop 9.0.2 issue"

Adobe’s general rule of thumb regarding RIP errors – it’s the RIP’s fault.

There are lots of prepresss folk in the ID forum that maybe able to help. I’d ask there even if you are not using ID.

Have you tried using ID to print the file.

I’ve been using ID to print my photoshop files since the beginning when OSX was released.

When I we first upgraded to CS(1), photoshop was the only reliable one out of the three (AI,ID,PS).

CS ID and AI would freak out three different RIP systems.

Jenni – a couple of possible culprits here – is there vector objects in the files? What format are you saving?

Layered or flattened?
