Moving a layer to a new file w/Same aspect Ratio Pls?

Good day

Wanting to move a layer onto a different file target)) while having the Layer that is being moved fall into the same ratio as the target.
Can't remember how to.
Can anyone help please? (PSCS2)

in layer pallet > duplicate layer

when the dialog pops up desinate the new fil as the target.

Thank you Buko, but works fine but it does not bring in the Source, into the target at the same aspect ratio.

Anything else?

Are the files the same ppi?

Do you want the source image distorted? Because that's what you would get when you change its aspect ratio.

Unless, are you talking about Place? Only certain files will do that, eps and pdf.
