how come the canon 5200 prints different than what I see on the screen/ do I need to change my colour settings to something?

Stef ... You'll have to give us more information than you have. E.G., what do you mean by different? what color settings did you use when you printed? What color space is your image in? What color space are you assuming for your printer? What combination of ink resolution and type of paper did you use?
Many of the desktop inkjets simply assume sRGB color space (or something very close). What do you get if:
(1) you convert your image to sRGB color space ...
(2) and print using the printer's "best color" settings and best paper?
Having just upgraded from PS6 I know that it is capable of fine and accurate printing, but maybe someone else who has the same printer will have other suggestions(?)
