In Photoshop CS, if I hold down the command key while in the layer window, a small selection box icon appears over the arrow/pointer. And when I click a layer holding down the command key, a selection is created in the shape of the layer contents.

This does not happen in CS2.

I can’t seem to find the key command which allows me to click-load a selection. Am I missing something? I used this functionality all of the time and I miss it. 🙁

Uhp! I found it!

In CS2, you must command-click the icon to do a load selection… but in the old CS, you can command click the icon or name. I wasn’t in the habit of clicking the icon so I wasn’t seeing the box.

Sorry about that!

Yup, 4th entry in the FAQ (and it is listed in the readme for CS2, if I’m not mistaken). But thanks for sharing the answer yourself for others that did not look there!
