Photoshop 5.5 Print Error=Disk Error

I am using Photoshop 5.5 quite happily except for one thing. I can’t print! Whenever I try I get "could not complete print command because of disk error"

I am using Windows XP and I think this problem started when I upgraded. Is there some kind of setting I need to change in Photoshop??? XP???? Hate to have to pay for the upgrade!!!!!!!!! My printer is an HP 6110xi.

When you upgraded what? Windows? If so, how?

If you did an actual in place operating system upgrade, all bets are off. XP should only be installed as a clean install.
