Photoshop 5.5 Print Error=Disk Error

I am using Photoshop 5.5 quite happily except for one thing. I can't print! Whenever I try I get "could not complete print command because of disk error"

I am using Windows XP and I think this problem started when I upgraded. Is there some kind of setting I need to change in Photoshop??? XP???? Hate to have to pay for the upgrade!!!!!!!!! My printer is an HP 6110xi.

When you upgraded what? Windows? If so, how?

I upgraded from ME to XP/Windows

If you did an actual in place operating system upgrade, all bets are off. XP should only be installed as a clean install.
