I know how to create actions without problem but I was wondering if anyone has suggestions to create an action for the following challenge:

I have a folder with horizontal and vertical images that I want to batch downsize to a 500px on whichever side is longer (the vertical or the horizontal), this way the processed images will be 500px at their longest axis.

Is this something an action can do without me having 2 actions, one for verticals and 1 for horizontals?

Thanks.

Use File>Automate>Fit Image. Input 500px in both fields.

Thanks Ed! What a quick answer! Can’t believe it was so simple, I just never noticed that item in the Automate Menu. This will save me a ton of time.

Thank You
