Space bar not working in CS2 for Photoshop and Illustrator

I have been having this problem just recently. I have a Mac G5 with dual 1.8 Ghz processors and 1.5 GB of Ram and I use a wireless Microsoft keyboard. I have been using it for almost a year now with no problems. Just with in the last few weeks I have been having to completely restart my computer to get the space bar to work in my Adobe programs. The keyboard works fine on all other applications except Photoshop and Illustrator. If there is any solution to this please let me know.
