Couldn't "Create Work Path" in Photoshop 7.0.1

In Layers>Type>Create Work Path, I get the message, "Could not complete the Create Work Path command because of a program error." I have quit all open applications and reinstalled 7.0 and 7.0.1 update, but get the same message. What is the problem? Thanks
