Photoshop 7 problem–can’t access fonts–but can with other prgms

I don’t have original disks so can’t reload program—and again the fonts work fine with Quark and Adobe Illustrator but when I get the type tool from Photoshop and place it in a document and click I get the following message "Could not complete your request because a default system font could not be found" And this appears no matter what font I select in the font window.

Help!!! Please—thanks — Tony

You need to reinstall the System fonts. Period.

you paid hundreds of dollars for Photoshop and you don’t have your original disks?

You have removed a system font that Photoshop needs. Put it back.

Anthony,

What exact version of the OS are you using?

And have you applied the free and MANDATORY Photoshop 7.0.1 update?

Once we know what OS you are using we can direct you to an appropriate resource here:
