Turning off Free Transform for Move tool?

I'm a bit new to Elements, but I was wondering if there was any way to turn off the automatic free transform mode when you select an object with the Move tool? I use the Move tool all the time repositioning things in my documents, but I rarely use the free transform aspects of it. Typically I'm moving things around, then I have to select some other tool in order to get rid of the free transform border and see what my stuff really looks like.

I was hoping that there was some way to just disable that aspect of the move tool. I couldn't see anything in preferences but was hoping there was another way.

Thanks

alright.. I'm a dummy...
After spending weeks being annoyed by this feature, I went to the help system and was pointed to the "Show Bounding Box" option in the tool option bar. Not sure why I never bothered looking there before.

Sorry.

Aaron,

You are not seeing a "transform" border, you are seeing the "Bounding box" which is always there (a rectangle) for any area of selection when you apply the MOVE tool. This is because MOVE is a raster "object" and can be made into it's own image on a canvas which is ALWAYS a rectangle. It's also the way you can rotate (about it's center point, which is some programs, not Elements, can be moved). Just release the tool button and it's gone.

Very Happy go to move tool and just simply unchecked the show transform control.
