I’ve had this issue before and it was an easy fix, but I can’t find anything in Search.

My text is gone. All I get is a black line. All fonts

Reset your Character Palette.
And/Or check the ppi resolution of the image (make sure it is not 1 ppi or some low number like that.)

and the obvious… check the font is not the same color as the background 🙂
