Color Bleed

I was asking someone the other day about how they achieved a really interesting neutral tonality in their prints. They told in me in detail. I understood everything they said except the first step, which was to make the colors bleed. Does anyone know what this term is referring to?

"Bleed" in printing refers to extending graphic elements past the intended trimmed edge of a piece so that when it is cut down, any small deviation in cutting will not reveal a sliver of white paper on the edge.

It has nothing to do with the quality of the printing itself.

You will have to ask that someone for clarification.

I was wondering what kind of "printing" was involved; and what kind of image?

Or by "Bleeding", did the man who was quoted mean that he was blurring colors in some way?

We need to see an example to understand what you mean.

Bleeding is something that is done with parasites such as leaches to acquire a healthier end result in your work.

bleeding is what happens when you are stripping and you cut yourself with your knife.

do most strippers carry knives because of frisky patrons?
