Getting an image to conform to shape of object it is on

How do I get an image to conform to the shape of the image below it? For example, I have the picture of a tent, and I wish to put an image on top of it, but I wish the image to look as if it were painted on to the tent, having the same grooves and bumps.

Please let me know.

And Karlene...

When you go to the link John provided, make sure you click on the "Show All Messages" link in the thread. There are other tutorial resources in that thread that don't initially appear.

Hi Karlene,

What you are asking is not all that easy to do. My first suggestion would be to play with Warp Transform - read about it in the help file. If that doesnt quite cut it, read up and search for tutorials on using the Displace filter found under Filter>Distort>Displace. The displace filter couple with Filter>Render>Lighting Effects can get you where you want, but it is not an easy process.

Karlene,

I have merged your duplicate Topic into this, your original one. Please post only once for one question - that will make it easier for both you and others to locate the relevant replies and has the added advantage of avoiding upsetting the natives.

Thanks.
