If by "fascinating" you mean "lame cut and paste", then yes, that’s a good site.

I have to agree with Ian. Not very impressive. The cut and paste example on the main page doesn’t even match the lighting. It looks like two people dressed up for the opera standing in front of a matte painting at a photographer. It hardly looks like they are really there.

Anyone with half a brain could do this in Photoshop and do a better job to boot.

Terribly unkind comments are not the least bit helpful to someone starting on a job.
Yes, there certainly is room for improvement in several areas but nothing deserving of such ridicule as these previous posters have heaped on you.

My advise is to moderate the website, learn about lighting effects and how to use them to mimic the real world and *then* you apply your techniques. Basically I’d say there is a need for this type of service. How you would tap a market is the real trick to success.

Good Luck!

Half a brain? True. But that is half the population – a huge market. Bummer, eh?

On the contrary, it makes them realize they should go back to their day job.

So I should lie, and tell them it doesn’t suck ass ?
Sorry, when people spam this group with ads for their crap work, they get my honest opinion.

What is that supposed to mean? Expressing one’s opinion has nothing to do with "policing."

Some dim bulb came into a group full of graphics professionals and experienced users of Photoshop trying to sell third-rate crap. They weren’t looking for help and apparently were clueless enough to believe that their work had some monetary value. I thought it bordered on insulting to the professionals here. Others have expressed their opinions regarding the work and the behavior.

Oh, never mind, now I remember … you’re the one charged with criticizing people for expressing their honest opinions, right? ——————————-

Come on! That’s just a plain old silly comment. What has policing the internet got to do with responding to a spammer who, frankly, should have got his skill act together before claiming to the world at large that he can do what he perfectly obviously can’t do.

It’s not your honest opinion to which most of us take offense. It’s your crude, hateful, vulgar, insensitive and obnoxious way of expressing it.
