vanishing point....what am I doing wrong?

Hi

I would like to paste type into the vanishing point filter but it doesn't seem to want to paste it. what am I doing wrong?
I follow all the instructions to do it, and it won't let me paste into the filter viewing window, but I can paste anywhere when the filter window is closed.

when I try to paste it into the grid, the inside grid disapears and only the outside box apears

thanks.... I found out what I was doing wrong....
it won't let me copy from a layer, it has to be from a different file altogether
