Well, we’re gonna need a LOT more information to reproduce your problem.

What program are you pasting from?
What font(s) are you using?
Are you using box text or line text?

Please, tell us the relevant information…..

I thought that everyone was getting slow text. It’s really slow even setting up a new text box. I’m on a dual G4 1GHZ with 1.5GB RAM, 10.4.7 9.0.1

Once I have several text layers things slow down for a coffee break between most text actions.

No, we have no reports of slow text pasting – unless you’re trying to paste several pages of text (that one we’re working on).

unless you’re trying to paste several pages of text

Why would anyone want to do that in Photoshop?? Just curious.

yep, same here too…

takes about 30 sec – 1 min to paste text into a photoshop document…

doesn’t matter where it was copied from (different text layer, same text layer, different doc, different program, etc.)

doesn’t matter what font is being used

doesn’t matter the amount of text that is being copied.

photoshop will stall until the pasting operation is done.

I just copied some text from this page and pasted it into a new photoshop doc. It took about 1 second if that long.

Do you guys run 24/7
