How to Repair damaged/corrupt JPG?

hello everyone,

well, i have recovered some images from my camera card, images recovered successfully but just two of them are okay and visible, all other files says 'no preview available on windows picture and fax viewer and in photoshop it says 'unknown or invalid JPEG maker type if found' ..... no image is displayed in IE and ACDsee... etc

have tried alot of things ..like changing its extension.. renaming etc but nothing works...

can anyone help.... how to repair these images.... the images are in JPG format...

What has happened to the card? was it erased, or is it just a bad card.

no the card is ok .. the pictures were deleted from camera card... have recovered like 200 images but corrupted...

Whenever I have run into the problem you described, I open them with "irfanview" with all the plugins and addons loaded. Everything is available FREE at: http://www.irfanview.com/
It seems to be able to open them when all else fails.. Once they are open I re-save as .JPG close and open in "Photoshop". The "Batch Conversion/Rename" works well also.
