Typface is enormous, can’t make it smaller

I have the typetool set to size 8, but whenever I click in the photo I am working on to add type, it creates a typeface so huge, (size 1000?) that it is hard to even see it. I have restarted the computer, restarted CS2. Nothing helps. repeat: changing typeface size can be done in the tool bar, but it has no affect on changng the typeface size.

I am using CS2 on OSX 10.4.5

Check the resolution of your file under Image > Image Size. Make sure it’s set to what you want (probably either 72ppi or 300 ppi.)

resolutin was set at 30072 !!!!!!!! so you were right, it was set at 300 AND 72, and in a bad way!
