Can a layer style be applied to a layer set (group)?

I thought I’d read somewhere that we could do this (as of CS2) as a sort of shortcut to applying a style (e.g., drop shadow, gradient overlay, stroke) to all the layers within the group. Yet I’m unable to. Did I simply not read what I thought I had?

You may be thinking of Paste Layer Style to Linked.

Have you tried grouping the various layers into a smart object and then applying you style??

You can apply a style from the styles palette to a group.
